Staying at NH hotel...it's just around back we were just wanting a coffee but got some tosta con tomate ...very simple and surprisingly delicious... We try to get it whenever we are in Madrid and here it was good. Standard local place here in Madrid full of locals but lady behind the counter was warm to us.

Great place for a tortilla breakfast right behind the NH hotel in Barajas. Best tortilla yet ...

Staying at NH hotel for an early flight, was hungry and craving for light meals. La Bekada has a good selection of tapas, good value of money.

We ordered a variety of snacks and toasts. The service was amazing and the main server/owner? was very attentive and helpful. The beer was so cold and the atmosphere was casual, but friendly. We were hangry after a long travel day and this was just what we needed.

Reasonable, tasty, and convenient breakfast. My wife and I were at the adjacent hotel. The breakfast here was good and reasonably priced - two of us ate for less than 10 euros. We had the tortilla (Spanish omelette) which was good but not the best that I have had. Unlike many bar tortillas it was moist which was a positive. Served with a bit of bread it makes a nice breakfast but we shared it and each had chocolate (the nice thick kind) and porras. The chocolate was appropriately thick but not the best I have had. The porras were a new experience as I am used to churros. I prefer the porras and these were _great_ for dipping in the chocolate. I would return in a heartbeat and it was clear that many in the neighborhood do.

Cinco estrellas A great option if you want a large variety of good authentic Spanish tapas and food but you have a short layover and you're worried about going too far from the airport. Everything is reasonably priced. It's a bar but the food is very delicious and great quality and flavors. There's a convenience store around the corner Super Market to load up on other goodies to take back to your home country. The tablas comes with several condiments to try and pick your favorite. The chicken wings are simple but very tasty. The croquetas are full of flavor and fresh.

Perfect place to go to if you are staying in local hotels. Friendly staff, perfect atmosphere, variety of dishes on the menu.

Great prices. Good beer selection. And a wide selection on the menu for food. My group had a cider. High end German tripple. Half a litre beer. German sausage plate and fried chicken plate for 24 euro. Definately a food coma tonight!!
